Everything almost works.
Video flickers and is unclear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r87Ul8z4cPM&feature=youtu.be

I can see the picture every now and then --> Gopro is sending the video.

I have played around with the channels, but can not get it working.

The testing I have done:
* in some wirings green = ground. I my wiring that did not helped.
* tested many combinations in tx & rx channels. But the attached video is the best one created.

Any ideas what to test next?

Are you using the correct voltages on the transmitter and receiver?

Do you have the correct antennas fitted an screwed on properly? (don't use a 2.4GHz antenna by mistake or you could damage the transmitter)

Have you tried a simple board-camera first before trying to connect the GoPro?

Have you tried moving the transmitter and receiver further apart (a couple of meters at least)?

Thanks for your reply!

> Are you using the correct voltages on the transmitter and receiver?

Transmitter 3s --> around 12V
Reciver 2s --> around 5V
This should be ok.

> Do you have the correct antennas fitted an screwed on properly? (don't use a 2.4GHz antenna by mistake or you could damage the transmitter)

I use the ones in the package, so they should be right ones.

Transmitter not used without antenna.

I think this could be someting to test.
It might be that the soldering is somewhat wrong.
I measured no sortcuts and no effect of moving the joints, so no easy solution in this.

I will try connecting a tv to tx.

Yes. Walked outdoors in -20 degrees. No effect.

Connected TV --> TV - out --> Tx very similar result as with Gopro.

Wondering if I have connected videoin to tx in a wrong way.
RCA outer cable = Ground --> black to tx
RCA yello inner cable = video --> yello to tx
Not much to test through...

Checked the antennas. Nice and tight. No change.

So close, but so farway. :-(

Is this the Immersion 5.8GHz or the other one?

Now i am testing the ntsc vs. PAL. I am european so it might be that the 2 televisions I have tested are PAL and the rc305 is sending NTSC by default.

Just wondering how to change the settings in tv. The claim to be NTSC/PAL / AUTO. They should detect the format automatically....

connected the gopro straight to video-in to my tv. All works fine. Gopro can be set to NTSC or PAL - both work fine.
--> Gopro sends out a good signal.

What is left is that someting is wrong with the transmitter - reciever....

I share this as a document of the setup.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7IHb6nv44o&feature=youtu.be

I can not figure out what to change.
1) wiring done
2) channels done
3) camera straight to tv done
4) ntsc vs. pal tested

Perhaps the end result is that I (just) have a faulty unit...!

Check that you have the mini-jackplug properly inserted in the receiver. I've found them to be a bit dodgy at times.

Also, that receiver needs more than 5V -- it needs at least 7.4V to work properly -- there is a regulator inside that reduces the voltage to 5V internally. A 3S lipo works well and a fully-charged 2S pack should also work okay.
