    Posted: 09/Feb/2012 at 5:27pm
I have two Control boards - KK and Copter control board- which are both configured for Quad+ - I wish to change both to Quad X configuration.

I am aware that I have to flash them for the X config - questions on that will come later !!

My question is how is each board powered (5V)- during the flashing process and also during flight?

Thanks

You can also power the board using power from only 1 ESC and only connect the signal wire from the other ESCs to their respective pins.
Just remove the red pin from the plug and tape it or heat shrink it out of the way.
It is fiddly and you might need a magnifying glass to see to release the pin - but then you can use the ESC for something else later.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams.
