I didn't think the 7C had a module.  I thought all the RF stuff was built-in.

You could be very well correct, don't have the Tx yet. Hacking it may as well void the FCC classification, thus AMA insurance potientially could be nulled. But I believe if I were the negitive or is it positive swinging data signal would still be compatable. In effect I was looking into how this 35+ years Electro-Mech Eng could install 2.4Ghz mod.

Sir, visited your website the other day. We have alot in common. Anyone sitting at a metal lathe with a pair of calipers is more than o.k. in my book!  Thanks for the quick answer. Best to you & most certinally be consulting you again. Good day down under.

Hi! Use it as 72 Mhz! IT is reliable! You can buy corona synthesized RX from hobbycity which are very goodIf you hack it sue a switch so you can choose between 72 RF module and 2.4!
Hacking is easy - just need PPM signal + and  - from main battery power supply - 8 NIMh cells
Good Luck!
If you are not sure about it -leave it 72! Both FM RF radios and 2.4 systems have their pros and cons! :)
Depend on what are you looking for!

Exactly, I have read alot regarding the "hack". 3 wires. Only I'll have to make sure thet it's compatable with the negitive or positive shift mode. Not sure right now about that, but soon, yes, just a SPDT switch, some smooth module fitting, perhaps a 5/8ths wave router antenna. I just bought the 7C. Been flying forever on 4ch radios so the needed upgrade will be nice. Come on ups. I have some 2500Mah ready to solder up. Off topic, where can anyone get some "MYLAR" heat shrink? That's another DIY post that could be productive-

Thanks for the reply Ben.

Hacked a Corona Ver 2 ( Futaba ) into a 7CAP

Again, have to use the PPM signal inverter

Version 1 and my NEW version 2 ( smaller signal convertor )

End product :)
