Have you had much practice flying before?
The MAAA can end aero-modelling apartheid Today! They think you're stupid and won't notice MOP057

Snappy / Have been flying today and feeling pumped, I managed 2 pretty good landings and 1 pretty ugly, tore off a tiny portion of the under carriage, but is only for scale. I am running Dx5e TX, would be keen on advice if upgrade to DX6i is good move? apparently expo desensitises sticks so can be a bit more brutal with the controls?

I am Futaba and 9x user so can't say much about the the spectrum stuff
Where is it over sensitive for you? landing or flying?
Does the 5 have a rates switch.
Expo is great and I use it for my aerobatic models but you
are probably just suffering newbee thumbs.
Moving from the 5 to 6 is your choice But I might be tempted to
save up for the 8

DX5e has rate switch hi / Lo - I think Lo is circa 70% travel. I think newbie thumbs for sure. DX8 pretty pricey so I would say next port of call is DX6i! I need to sort COG and get all servos centered and spend more time setting the model up. I find the approach pretty difficult adjusting throttle and also flying towards me everything is in reverse, orientation thing. I'm just learning but loving it. I have ordered another high wing foamie, What would you recomend as a Great electric plane for newbie?

Many thanks,
Ponty

Ponty, when coming at you put the stick to the low wing this will help. the best is to keep the TX pointed in the direction of travel even if this means flying over your shoulder.after a bit it will come easy my fly buddy pushed mine around till i did it my self it helped a lot to keep me in the air.

PS have you took a look at the 9X cost ant much and you get a lot for the $$
