Just getting into pirouette, Seems fine and quick with my 500, but on my 600 is ok in one direction (slower than the 500 but ok) but very slow in the other. The servo is central , the yoke on the tail shaft is central,and moves to both ends of the shaft, subtrim setting on 0 ,heli holds on hover, all settings central. Any ideas any one.

I think i've found it, I believe the tail blades were stalling ( not heard of this before ), because when I reduced the travel on the tail the speed of pirouette increased !
I must remember .... when inverted .... down is up and up is down .

Interesting! I've read that it's not worth having more than 90 degrees between the tail blades for that reason. Compared with stall angles for wings, normally in the 12 - 15 range, 45 pitch in a tail rotor seems crazy.

2Doggs;-Especially as the aerofoil shape is assymetric, and therefore a poor performer.
I must remember .... when inverted .... down is up and up is down .
