I want to pick up the HK V2 control board. I see that it comes as a +. Can I program it to fly as an X. Where can I download v4.7 firmware? Also where can I pick up the programer for it.
Thanks.

Posts I like - of course you can find it via Google....but...

Have a look at http://www.kkmulticopter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=58:firmware-downloads&Itemid=65&layout=default

for firmware options (as the HK board is basically a KK Board clone ;-))

I have been searching on this matter and found these videos. Should help you get started in the right direction. If you are new to flashing the HK board.

How to Flash the HK board part 1

How to Flash the HK Board part 2

The KKmulticopter Flash Tool software is ver. .40 now and has the X mode firmware already loaded in the tool.
You have to have Java loaded on your windows pc to use this tool software. That is if you are running windows.
Also you will need to pick up a programmer.
I use a usbasp type.

Just pick your programer type. Then controller type (hobbyKing Quadcopter Control Board V2(16kB flash), Now select XCopter in the firmware types.
And pick the XCopter (4.7[m168]kapteinkuk) that should be the most up to date firmware. This should be all the steps to flash the board.
As with any instructions double check and make sure I have everything listed correct.
Hope this Helps..

Thank you for all of the info. I watched the vids and d/l the software and ordered the programmer from ebay. Now I just have to wait for it all to arrive at the house!

All the HK boards come with (+) flight mode firmware. You have to flash new firmware to change it.
