If you like that then make sure the shaft size is right or if not then check if pinions are available for it and also the mounting distance, if thats right then it shouldnt have any problems.

Dont forget that it probably doesnt have any ends on the ESC so you will need to buy them also and a programing card.

Ezarc I would like to thank you for all your help so far , you are a true gent ..

Think I've found just what I'm looking for
Turnigy Brushless 1/8 Scale Car Power System 1965Kv/150A

Hopefully this will work in a 1/10th scale crawler...

If not , I'll go with the other links from my earlyer post...

The 3660 motors will usually have more torque than a 3650 of the same Kv rating. The 3650 is the same size as a 540 though. It depends if you have the room for a extra centimetre at the back of the motor.

Also you need to take note of the mounting holes unless you can easily modify your mount.

XK3650-B-5400KV Brushless Inrunner
*edit - can only handle 7.4v*

KD36-50-06S 5900kv Brushless Inrunner

Those motors might be too much but if you wanted less top speed and faster acceleration and torque to get up the hills you could always buy something with a lower Kv rating later and have one these for flat or not so steep driving.
For the ESC I would go for something around 150 amps to handle the motors without getting hot, just look under car ESC's on the site.

How about these..

The rock crawler would have a low Kv motor, for a off road hill climber you wont want too high of a Kv rating or else you wont have the torque to get it moving fast enough and probably burn out the motor by putting strain on it that it cant handle.

What size motor and ESC is in it now?

Ill look in to it more later tonight when my net is faster, gear ratios may effect what you are after and your 2200mah batteries will put out 44A constant might not be enough for what you want to do with it.

If you want the biggest baddest you can get I can find it for you but it doesnt mean it will be the best, it will be spastic.

Thanks for the reply .

The Motor is a cheapie Mabuchi RS 540 SH using a
Mtroniks Viper ECO 20 ESC ( 20 turn limit )
Battery is a 7.4v Ni-Mh 6cell 6800mAh
