I purchased an AWS282 from HobbyKing. There was no instruction manual. I am looking for a pdf that I can download. This is the $99 AWS28 model without motor. Thanks for your help. Dave

Welcome to the Forum gdsj6
I have look for the manual every where, on the site, forgot to look at the forum. What do you need to know, checked the pictures out, seems pretty strait forward to do. I'm often called on (by to experience forum users), if some one need assistance with gliders, so I might be able to answer your questions, regarding CG and so on.. -Troels |

Hi Marcos - I struggled and built this plane. This is not a good plane. I do not recommend it. Too many little corrections and BIG corrections - like the wing tips which are very different from each other. The fibreglass molding is really poorly made - not very accurate. It looks good but has the quality of a plastic model that is not meant to fly. To balance my plane I had to put over one pound (!!) of lead in the nose and then when it crashed on the first flight, the body cracked since it is not very strong and is not repairable. I've kept the wings since i worked so hard putting it all together, but, as one buyer said, "Just hang it up because it looks cute, but it is not made to fly!" I never found a manual. All that being said, I crashed because of pilot error - ailerons reversed! And i did successfully build it w/o a manual but had to do a lot of "jigging". At some point i will build a balsa body with much less tail weight and make a plane I will be able to have short fast flights using a "Hi-start". Sorry I can't help you. Just do not expect this plane to be a good flyer. I had a lot of fun w Hobby King's "EASY GLIDER". This is also a poorly made plane, but if you replace the motor, controller (mine did not work) and servos you can have a lot of fun! I had some great duration flights on warm days w thermals.

Hi dgsj6,
Thanks for your feedback! I have it now, will electrify it and see what happens...keeping in mind all your comments. Oh, by the way, found under "files" the mounting sheet, this is in the King's site. Regards from Brazil, Marcos PD: are you familiar with the Radiant Pro? We have realy nice falaises to fly down here. |
