Hi, I bought the Pitts Special Hobbyking EPO Plug-n-Fly BL and the engine is broken. The red cable is cut and it is impossible to resolder.
I search for another, but I do not have the information necessary to find the (Kv, Max Load, No Load Current, Suggested Prop, Weight) etc ... Could someone help me? Url : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12483__Hobbyking_Pitts_Special_EPO_Plug_n_Fly_BL_DE_Warehouse_.html |

Hi Fur@x , welcome to the forums , I dont have this plane , but was wondering if you could measure the diameter of the motor and the bell length , so that way we will at least know what size of motor to suggest for you .
From what I read these planes were a little bit underpowered to begin with , so it might be good to upsize a little ? From what I can find the stock motor and esc, on 3S batteries is drawing about 10A which is on the limits for the esc , I would suspect we would need to look for a 2000 odd kV motor putting out around 100-110Watts ? 7X5 or 8X3 props used |

Does anybody know how to cancel a bid on e-Bay? I put in a bid for a “Cowboy Outfit” and it seems I’m only six minutes away from owning the Australian Labor Government ! |

Hi Trumpy,
Thank you for the quick response. I measured the motor. It has a diameter of 27mm and a height of 10 mm. The length of the threaded rod for mounting the propeller is 250mm. The propeller aircraft are provided with the 07X05. I use NONA TECH TURNIGY 25-50C 3S 1000 mah. |

Does it look something like this ?
2409 bell motor These little bell motors are plenty powerful and would give your std system a boost I think , but they might need a bigger esc |

Yes, it looks like my engine, I also found this model to look more towards it.

Ok the 2409 I linked to would need a 25A ESC , the Plush 25A
One thing to consider tho , is that these bigger bell motors might weigh a bit more than your Std motor , they will however give you about 2X the power tho lol You might have to play a bit to get the CG right . The link to the 20 gram motor you posted shows me it only puts out about 80 Watts and is probably a little less than the stock motor performance A compromise in weight between the two would be the 28-22 a little heavier than stock motor , but with much more power ... unlimited vertical on this one I think LOL Move up to a 9X4.7 prop again with the Plush esc I linked to |

You shouldn't have to, just get rid of the two steel weights and adjust the prop to pull visually straight (get rid of the 50 degrees of right offset...). As I mentioned on another thread, I was not able to get the airplane to fly as it was shipped but it flies perfectly well once the over-engineering is removed. |
