NICE i love the Knife edge, and the Side slip (or what you call it in English) flying sideways with the forward wing dipped down, full opposite rudder - A perfect way to lose height fast.
Reminds me of when i was learning to fly a 1:1 glider, pretty awkward to fly 75-80degrees sideways, but still in full control.
-practicing it with my RC glider, that's pretty hard to do

I had a flight in a Stampe and the pilot did a massive side slip and nearly blew me sideways out of the cockpit. My HK cub does great side slips.

the hard part is not to side slip, it's to Side slip (to lose altitude) when on the Final approach to a landing

But the Cub should do it in a beautiful behaved manner

I know, keep the bubble in the middle when flying. we were landing! The cub should do it ok but my thumbs are a different matter

NICE you was in a plane with that kind of instrument "Kick the ball", we flew without that, just with a piece of Red (loosely spun) thread taped to the canopy.

those where the days, sorry got sentimental, no contributing to the thread with a Cool video

Yeah Snappy I'm that old
No I took my glider certificate in this ASK-21 Glider

And a front seat view, check the Red cotton thread
(this is a picture from another Ask-21, not the strip i was flying from)

That Red thread tells you the same thing as the ball does, and if you are going forward or backwards too (the ASK-21 is fully certified for acrobatics -minus tail sliding <that will break your legs, as you can't hold the pedals>)

man I miss it
