Pleasure Ian , I think the modelling community owes you( and Joondalup H.) a debt for taking the gamble on a HK franchise and bringing reality pricing to a storefront , something Australia has never really seen .
I just really hope the modellers of Sydney and Perth get behind you both and reward the faith you have in changing the boundaries
If you werent 10 hours north of me I'd be there with bells on ! Edited by trumpy - 07/Sep/2011 at 9:18pm |

Trumpy!
Does anybody know how to cancel a bid on e-Bay? I put in a bid for a “Cowboy Outfit” and it seems I’m only six minutes away from owning the Australian Labor Government ! |

Man O Man O Maaaannnn , the trumpster is shaking his head in disbelief here !
If ever anyone needed a classic example of WHY we need HK and HK storefronts here in Australia I just found it !!! Here is a one of the more (ahem) "notable " Hobby stores price on the ACME TROOPER ( read HK Trooper ) Now this particular store is a well established Icon in the Perth area , and yes I have been there in person a few years back I will let the two prices do the rest of the talking for me I think Now admittedly the Acme in Perth does have a lipo and a 2.4 Ghz radio included so please subtract $40 for the radio and $10 for the lipo in the interests of fairness OK?
Acme trooper Perth HK Trooper Aus warehouse I would hazard a guess that even the HK storefront doesnt have it priced at Over $300 more ( taking into account the radio and lipo supplied) Anybody still wondering why Aussie needed a HK? Trumpy out !Edited by trumpy - 09/Sep/2011 at 11:42pm |

Yeah I know the feeling Trumpy,
my local hobby shop (don't live in a big major city) has the turnigy 9X Tx for sale for a whopping $185. What the price on HK you ask? $53:79 I don't mind paying a little more for 15 minute down the road local places. But not THAT much!!!!

Thanks Ian, got my planes, busy building now, are you going to get any of the new SK3 Turnigy Motors ?? HK are a bit slow they are manufacturing these in house now, stock should not be a problem from now on I hope.
I am Ballarat Victoria, so poss will never get to visit your shop, but never know, the post is very quick keep up the good work, the Hobby needs people like HOBBY KING, to make this hobby affordable, Kevin. |

Anyone with any history dealing with OMP and ME knows how arrogant and rude these organisations are. Well done Ian and the HK boys for showing us how much we have been overcharged. Hopefully we will see Farnham take his little OS engines somewhere else soon and theres always hope OMP will actually have an item IN STOCK on their 1986 style website sometime soon.
Well done...more of it
