What ever you do, don't try to fly with the cg a little forward, won't work! I broke the nose off, thought I would have a little forward cg but it won't respond with elevators. Fixed broken nose and got cg where suggested and it flew great, pretty darn fast too!!

I had crashed and burn with the CG a little back. Apparently, there is a very short range of sweet spot for the Stinger64. However It flew much better with the CG forward than back, especially if your's have a strong power plant.

The factory ESC is barely up to the task, in my experience. My suggestions are (in order of time/difficulty):

1. Cut away more heat-shrink from the ESC wrapping to get better cooling from the heat sinks.
2. Enlarge the cockpit venting holes to improve ventilation around the ESC and battery
3. Mount the ESC outside the cockpit, in one of the air ducts.
4. Replace the ESC with a bigger one.

I found Step 3 above to be very effective in preventing the ESC from overheating - the ESC reduces motor power to prevent damage.
