One of the undergrad students @ Uni has been working on C code for brushless operation. He got closed loop control working but it still needs some tweaking. Hopefully will be released in next few weeks.

There's already very good alternative for multi-rotors on rcgroups. HK SS works well and has external resonators (at least, SS20 series), only problem - it does not has pins for programming (You need to solder wires to small SMD components, or use pogo sticks/hooks, which isn't so newbie-friendly).

Have you tried to read, understand and modify assembly code?

I can but I choose not to whenever possible. I do not know of any good C implementations which currently exist.

Existing code is here. Didn't get as far along as I had hoped and I haven't really had time to contribute recently.

@Adverse effects. Program yourself up a tz85a. Shoud be able to do that for you on 6S. (22.2V)

ooook that is WAY past my ability looking at http://code.google.com/p/qut-brushless-controller

i understand the basics of PWM and driving mosfets

i may struggle through reprogramming a ESC but there is no way i could mod the code and make it in to a useable file to upload

that is a uni project and i didnt make it through year 10 of school
