5.8 ghz 600mW Video Transmitter

Hello everybody!, recently I have purchased a 5.8Ghz Audio/Video Transmitter (600mw) (inmmersionRC) but the transmitter only works to a one meter or less distance from the receiver (the receiver is the fatshark goggles 5.8 ghz system) if I go to two meters or more distance I can´t see the video transmitted, however with the original fatshark 5.8ghz 100mW transmitter the goggles works very fine and long distance away. I configured the correct channel in the goggles and obviously the transmitter don´t have none aditional configuration. Anybody have the same problem?

	The channel numbers on the transmitter and receiver may not coincide -- ie: channel 2 on the transmitter may not necessarily be the same as channel 2 on the receiver. Also note that not all 5.8GHz systems use the same frequencies. For example, the FoxTech 5.8GHz transmitters use different frequencies to the FatShark ones so you can't use them together.

	Thanks a lot for your answer I understand you however I tried with all the seven channels of the fatshark goggles and I got the same results...

	I haven't done a thorough test but when we had an FatShark video system here, the FoxTech would not receive that transmitter on any of its channels. It's possible that there may be one or two that are a match -- but I wouldn't bet on it. My Fatsharks don't have the built-in receiver and I don't have a Fatshark 5.8GHz transmitter so I can't do a comprehensive test at the moment.

	This system does work together as the immersion TX are made to go with the fatsharks so you shouldn't have a problem Double check you haven't got the pins mixed in the channel setting or make sure they are fully up or down a fine tipped screw driver should do the trick also ignor the 4th pin on the channel selector as it should be left in the off possition (but i'm not sure if its hooked up or not ?) Another thing is how have you wired your TX and camera and what voltage is the camera 12v or 5v ? and do you use the main battery or a separate one ? as this unit can only power a 5v camera My set up is a separate 3s battery which goes direct into the power side of the TX and then on the same battery i power the camera from the balance port/board Dave Edited by dps-dave - 24/Jun/2011 at 10:29pm
