Hi there,
It looks to me that you do not have a problem loading your program on the KK board. I have tried and tried and nothing works, is it possible for you to e-mail me the step for step procedures. I am very new with the quadcopter and don't understand all of it. Helicopters and RC cars are my bag. Will you help me.
Thanks for your help/

Thanks for the tip I have downloaded the page.
My problem is, I have received the program USB but can't get it to work.
What procedure do I need to make it work and how to do it.
I need to install the program into the ATMEL IC.
Many thanks

Very educational thread this. I am trying to decide on a parts list for my first ever quadcopter build. I've no previous RC experience, so I am not sure what transmitter and receiver I should be buying. I've read it is very important to get one with a failsafe for quadcopter use. My understanding was that this was to put the quadcopter into autolanding mode if it loses touch with the transmitter right? So what should I get? The Turnigy 9x set looks nicely priced, but is it the right choice for me?

In its stock setup the 9x does not have failsafe... If you convert it to Frsky with the DIY kit it will...

Thanks. Is this the DIY kit you are referring to ? FrSky Hack Module V8HT

Or this one ? DHT DIY_Telemetry module

Or if either, then what is the telemetry feature which the second one of these has? Does it require some additional screen to be added to the transmitter?

Yes that looks like it although I bought this one...

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14353__FrSky_V8HT_2_4Ghz_DIY_Module.html

This one comes with the switch so you can go to telemetry two way operation with the correct Rxs... I got two and converted an old Hitec Flash 5 from FM to 2.4 so I can use it again...

Sorry, only saw first line of your post... When I got mine there was only one option so it is probably the one with the switch... I installed mine in the the module after I took the old one out and had to cut the shrink wrap off to get it in....
