OK, so which power wires do I disconnect the ones from the ESCs to the board input or the ones from the board output to the motors?

This should be easier. If I ever get this right I will write a step by step procedure for the entire process.

I have all 4 ESCs powering my receiver & board, with no problems. It basically just spreads the load between the 4 built-in BECs as far as I can figure.

Have a look at some Youtube clips about connecting the USB programmer to the board - you have to make sure the ribbon cable is connected the right way around at both ends (that was where I get stuck). Do you get an error message when trying to flash firmware?

I got error message when using this computer (64 bit) but when I used my 32 bit desktop it said it downloaded the driver. I have never been able to open any kind of page that is represented in the only "manual" links I can find. I think I have a bad board. I may try re-soldering to see if I can revive but quality of workmanship was poor. I also flashed it from the KKmultil website and may have done the damage myself. I was not aware of all of the different kinds of boards.

I went through all of the procedures and felt I had hookup correct since 32 bit pc said driver was downloaded successfully. I really do think I have a bad board. It will be next week before I can get back to it.

I want to ask if glue is needed for V1. Or you don't need glue?

How can I increase yaw (rudder) rate? Decrease gyro gain? Have DX7 rudder channel travel set to 150% now. Tried dual rate with low at 50% Hi at 75% first. Got more left rudder but still slow right. Going to reduce gyro for next test.

Any input anyone.

Oh yea. I have lights on it and have flown at night already. Making light mod and will post pictures.

Yaw is made by increasing RMP on two opposed motors and reducing RPM on the other two to make a difference in total torque. There is a limit how much one can lower RPM on the two and still maintain control on the other axis. If you try to increase the endpoint from 50 to 150% in steps, I guess there comes a point where there will be no difference. The controller probably has it's own endpoint for this.

Just use 15x15mm aluminum for you'r frame. this can realy take a beating !
Take a look at mine:

For the build thread and part list ..read my post on our club forum:

thread

I started with the wooden frame from HK, but after a couple of weeks, and several crashes I switched to alumunium. It's mutch cheaper, and verry stronger..
