Succes and let me know. Happy landings! By the way, look to my video's upstairs. The first 2 meters keep to tail down and than slowly the elevator to neutral. After a couple of meters you can give him a little up and their he goes!!!!!!

I have implemented a RCGF-20 engine in my Grasshopper-L4. You can (and should) start the piper with 3/4 throttle. When the tailwheel takes off you can steer the plane with its rudder, it will accelerate now and then you can slowly increase elevation. Then take off of your Grasshopper piper looks very scale.
For landing you need at least 20% trottle. Stall speed is approximately at 16.9 mph. If you have (like me) telemetry with voice output installed you can adjust the throttle so that you just land a little bit above stall speed. If you are 1 foot above ground you can reduce throttle to idle and increase elevation until the plain settles on its main wheels. Then release the elevation to neutral and you have a perfect landing. The piper is not going on its nose! When the speed is reduced after touch down you can force the tailwheel to go to ground by increasing elevation again. I followed Snappy's build for the most part, went with HK tail wheel, drilled out cowl and glue motorheads from inside, went with Eflite Power 110 motor and castle 120HV esc.
