Will this fit or is this one too small?
Thanks for your help!

He is perfect. I have that exact pilot in my Grasshopper.

I had the same in the tail after a transportproblem. I put a little piece of a dark covering over it and paint it. I use Humbrol Enamel matt 86 for all the little damaged covering i find.

Why don't you guys put an adjusting collar over your drill, before you start this work ? This will prevent you from punching the wing.
You can also put a nice decal over the hole in the covering...

Finally maidened mine today. A little to windy but I went ahead anyway and managed to land in a gusty cross wind without damage.

The RCGF 20 cc was set way to rich on the low end from the factory and we struggled for a couple of afternoons to get it to start and run right. Once it was set right the engine came to life and flys the plane well. Using those MG orange servo's which seem to center good and work just fine on this plane. Using a Zippy 2500 2s LiFe pack for the Rx and ignition. Have an ignition kill switch and a diode voltage reducer going to the ignition.

Hope to show it off at the clubs funfly on Sunday

Great news, any video? What's this diode regulator you speak off?

I have almost the same configuration. Only difference is that I use a 2S1P LiFePO4 battery for my Optima 9 RX and for HK 15288A servos. My voltage is also reduced via a Schottky diode (MBR 1645). I always operate with a separate ignition battery which is in my case a 4 cell NiMh battery with 1800mAh. My Grasshopper has full telemetry installed. (GPS, engine temp, RX temp, seperate alitmeter HowHigh with +- 1 ft resolution and RPM)
I was a little concerned about the engine temperature because of the little openings in the cowl of the Grasshopper L4, but as measurements showed, everything is ok. (Engine temperature is always below 120°C or 250 F) The only thing which was replaced was the muffler of the RCGF-20 which was replaced by a Pitt's style muffler. (so no openings in the cowl!) Btw. I had the RCGF-20 on my test bench for the first half gallon and did the proper adjustments there.
So I can reccommend this configuration!

After some time the wires at the horizontal stabilizer bacame loose. I just put some rod stainers in between.

A couple of diodes in series will reduce the voltage from a LiFe battery from 7.2 maximum charge to 5.3 volts to the ignition. Most ignition systems require less than 6.0 volts.

I am just using one battery for both the Rx and ignition (http://www.shop.kavarootusa.com/product.sc?productId=32&categoryId=10).
My RCG 30 and Rx in my MXS-R only uses 250 mah per 8 minute flight. With the 2500 mah LiFe I fly 3 or so flights and then recharge in about 15 minutes.
