Just noticed that the stock levels on the TGY 9x TX went in to negatives over night. Have they been pulled from sale again?
Is it possible that the units are having the DR/EXPO and other various mixing issues resolved? lets hope so!
Perhaps the slow movement of stock has prompted HK to put their foot down with the manufacturer?

I'm hoping it will get sorted out soon. I placed my order yesterday when there were more than 100 in stock and my order status is still in processing.

The story I heard was that the latest shipment was rejected (probably due to the already publicized bugs) and that they're waiting for the factory to ship bug-free systems.
Mind you -- that's only what I was told second-hand, not straight from the horse's mouth. |

Not yet :( Admin is not responding
BTW I read a review at rc forum which says that if you connect the turnigy module and Rx (which are said to be faulty) in a specific sequence you will have no problem with them?
And they will work perfectly - Rcmodelreviews has not confirmed this yet... If it is true we may convince hobbycity to return the original Turnigy modules on the shelfs and with a "specific) manual which explains how to bind them correctly we will be able to have them working perfectly |

It's not a binding problem -- either they bind or they don't.
Some of the problems are small (like the jittery servo movement) but some are more important (such as the inability to cope with small areas of the band that are noisy even though they are frequency-hopping). In low-noise environments on sport-type models they'll possibly never cause any problems but I'd be hesitant to use them in any environment where there could be high noise levels (even if they only affect part of the band) or in fast or highly aerobatic models. The lack of failsafe also means they're not suited to fast/large models. |

Hi! Thanks about the info. Have you tried the corona DSSS V2 module+receiver?
I think that their are little better than assan because the assan small receiver antena is said to have only 800 meters range And assan is not said to be neither FHSS nor DSSS but some "assan brand modulation" BUt many people say that assan is much better... I have a couple of Corona DSSS systems here that I'm currently testing. I'll be passing the results on to Corona for their comments before publishing a review.

What lack of failsafe? I can program failsafe in my turnigy set.The only (big) drawback is it does not remember it, needs to be done before every flight... Don't have jittery servo movement either... I wonder if different series of these existed.... Edited by Wimh - 10/Jun/2009 at 4:37pm |
