Trumpy!
Does anybody know how to cancel a bid on e-Bay?
I put in a bid for a “Cowboy Outfit” and it seems I’m only six minutes away from owning the Australian Labor Government !

Hiya Robo , at the moment I am going to fit 2208 1500kV motors , I will only be running 2 cell packs so went for a slightly higher kV than what would normally be used  . This way I can play with props as well . If that is unsuccesful the backup motors are going to be the 840kv 2209 bell motors Big smile
Will go with the std 10X4.7 prop to start with .
This is my first tri , but I didnt want to follow a bog standard bell motor route first up as I thought might be a tad overpowered for this application I am playing with .
I think the three 2208's should provide 5-600 grams thrust each at a relaxed throttle setting  so they should easily handle the less than 500gr weight of the assembled tri ?

Well, Trumpy, some spare power will not do any harmBig smile I was aiming for at lot of power on mine and hit it right- now it stands at 2.5kg flying weight with 3.5kg lifting weight to spare. My motors have around 600W each and ment to be on 2kg plane. So if you believe Turnigy specs, then my motors have 6kg lift power altogetherTongue

There can never be too much power hey ( Tim the Toolman "grunt grunt grunt !" )
I will admit I am going the minimalist route now and am concentrating more on flyability than sheer force lol
But i hear ya Robo , I hear ya , reckon the next tri or quad might well be lifting the Labrador round the yard LOL

Can't start. Need some materials that are in BK. I no longer ride my bike. In fact I'm going to sell it. Dangerous things... Smile

By the way, wich wire are you going to use to make the motors extensions? I see silicone wire and another wire that i can't identify. Base and arms are aluminium? How many mm are they?
