Thanks, I've already found the main blade screws on that same site. Shipping cost about the same as a gallon of gas so this is a much better option for me. Thanks again, Ken

It's not quite that high yet. It's selling for about $3.55 gallon in my area but it goes up everyday. That's actually very expensive for this time of year. It typically tops out in May or June. The news showed gas over $4 near Chicago (about 150 miles away) and over $5 in southern Florida. Looks like we're in store for a record year.

12.9 screws are one solution. i replaced mine after the last "explosion". hold up good so far.
if the 12.9 screws break too, i'll get the microheli tail grips and hub. i think they use M2.5 screws. kasama also makes that part with larger screws, but couldn't find it anywhere in stock. |

No need to replace the whole lot just drill the holes out to take 3mm bolts as I have previously explained.I haven't had a failure since.Problem fixed.

or buy the copterx tailrotorset 30 dollars
most important is not to have too much headspeed and absolutly no vibration. Use 1600kv motor on 6 cells with 13T or 1800kv motor on 5 cells dont use the turnigy 1800 kv motor on 6 cells in combination with 13T. 12T or 11T is needed in that case it seems that the 1800 turnigy is actually 1900kv, so max speed for the tailrotor is passed. Too much headspeed will give also too much tailrotorspeed, thus exploding tailrotors.... here some details: 1600kv 13T 6C 2565 rpm (standard Align) 1800kv 13T 6C 2886 rpm ! 1800kv 13T 5C 2405 rpm 1800kv 12T 6C 2664 rpm 1900kv 13T 6c 3064 rpm ! 1900kv 12T 6c 2812 rpm Edited by brutus1952 - 08/Sep/2011 at 3:19am |
