May have some antenna?
I think the problem is in module, stabilizer 7805 (TO220) gets very hot and output voltage drops to 3.4 volts.L I switch to the LM2940CT-5, which has a higher input range, heating heats very hard, do not know what to check. Can I refer you to a forum where you can discuss this issue. Thanks |

If the 7805 regulator is overheating it sounds as if some component is drawing excessive current. Changing the regulator won't help that - you need to be able to read a schematic diagram and fault find (on component level) to pin down the actual fault
