Yes, the APC-SF , SF = Slow Fly is very important.

here is the weight comparison:
APC-SF 10x3,8 12g
EPP1045 6,5g

but both work good, and yes my quads are a little heavier.
but the APC-SF 10x3,8 worked good on my quad on 1100g, 1400g and now on 1600g.

you can watch the videos here:
http://www.vimeo.com/12171385
http://www.vimeo.com/14932988

for a lighter quad, like 800g or less, i would prefer the EPP1045 or EPP0845.

I know the APC-SF props, I don't like them very much, they are ok for low power, but on higher power, they don't work very efficient. Start to "hum" and make bad noises.

I don't know the "EPP" props. A little heavier than GWS but should be ok.

Yes, GWS have them in pairs, that's what "everyone" is using here. Most use the normal 2 bladed props. At least on the light quads, below 1kg. Most of the quads I see are very light.

But not all sizes are available. And the smaller ones run better, can deliver more power.

(...)

Hmm, I just wanted to give you the sizes avaiolable, and now I noticed the shop I used to buy these (>1 year before) now only stocks "EPP". Can anyone inform me on these "EPP" blades? How do they look like? Maybe those are the GWS-Lookalikes I often see. Most of these look just like GWS but are a little heavier. I didn't notice a brand or name on them, though.

I have never heard of GWS in the quad scene.

Everyone uses EPP von MaxxProducts.
They work very good.

Again,

how do they look like? Are they the "gws-clones" I see very often on quads? That might explain it.

Thanks.

You, that clears it, I was refering to EPP Props. Clones of GWS Props but a little stiffer and more heavy.

Hi again guys,

Can somebody explain me the effects of lenght, pitch and weight parameters of propeller? What they should be for fast and agile flight? Or if I want smooth and soft flight for photography or video, what kind of propeller should I use?

I'll give it a shot (correct me if I'm wrong)

fast and aile: short Length close the the same as the Pitch agle, and an insanely high rpms (exa 7x7").
smooth and soft: Longer length, lesser than half the Pitch/length (exa 10x3.4")

Effects of different forces, on the same motor (you have to choose the motor/prop together).

Length: the longer the blade, the harder the motor has to work to get the the blade swinging. The longer the blade, the less pitch is needed to produce the same amount of trust (as to a shorter blade, higher pitch). A long blade can easily start to make noise, as it  goes super sonic at the tip of the blade at the same Rpms as a shorter one (think of a whip cracking continuously)

Pitch:
Trust (static, dynamic)
LOW pitch/long blade; high static trust, good acceleration but no speed. Gives Punch/quick force reactions)
High pitch/short blade; fast speed but no acceleration.

Weight: You just dont want that. - makes the centrifugal forces act wildly, like a Gyro (hard to change flight direction)

It is far from easy to understand, but read this thread on the subject  How to choose an electric power system under Prop selection
