Question: Hi Guys I got my items there are great thanks.

Re Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter

I seem to have a problem with the Gear switch on the transmitter, it does not work. I have gone into settings and assigned the gear switch to channel 5,6,7 or 8 and with a servo plugged into these channel but get no movement.

When I assign channels’ 5,6,7 or 8, to ether HOV PIT or HOV THRO or PIT TRIM all works as it should. But when assign gear switch no response. Even in display menu no response on the screen. Can you help with this problem please? Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply Regards Karl.

Hi Karl,

sorry to hear that your having issues with your 9X.

You might be best to post this in the transmitter section of the forum.

I doubt that HK will be able to assist you with your query.

Just a few quick things to try.

1) in the menu select dispaly. this will allow you to the each channel and when you move the sticks around you will see them moving about. check what happens with the gear switch.
2) in the menu check out the end point function and check gear to make sure it has 100% travel
3) check that channel 5 is assigned to gear.

Thats about it sorry.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian, I dont get any movement in the display window, I checked end points even tried to adjust end points above 120% but only could adjust one end point because the gear switch when in on opposition would not change the screen to adjust the opposite  end point. Also check that channel 5 is assigned to gear switch, still no response. I look forward to your reply regards karl.

Checked across the switch with a multi meter and got about 3.8 volts in on possition. If the switch is off, and i put the meter on each side of the switch i get nothing ( maybe it needs resistance?)
I have noticed that when the gear switch is on and I turn the Tx on that the switch alarm sounds on the Tx. I traced the wires back to the circuit board all seems ok.

Ok So if the alarm sounds when it up and stops when you push it back down the switch and wiring is OK.

Ill get my TX and go through the same set up and see what happens..I havent use the gear program.
