Hi Tek,

there must be something wrong with your bike.
The Turnigy QRF lipo has nearly twice the capacity and 1/3 more voltage compared to your LiFe battery. On the other side the runtime with the turnigy lipo on full speed with my bike is aprox. 10 minutes. I just can explain those facts with the power your bike has and this must be a pretty difference to my configuration if you compare the stats I just mentioned.
I already posted some driving videos of my bike. Do you have one with your LiFe battery? Would be pretty interesting.

so,  i did a series batts on 2 1000mah 3s 25c.
well,, smoke came out right after i started.
i didn't realise i doubled it into 50c.Angry
hahaha, the fan burnt. it was a panic in seconds.
removed the fan and ran it like 30 seconds and noticed the esc and the motor felt hot.
but dang, did the wheels howl!
temp gauge it at 55*C on the esc. it's worrying me now that there's
2 batts coming on the way for the same purpose, but i guess it's not going to be put in as planned.
this is what happens if it's cold and snowing outside.
experiment is my other hobby, but i'm a nurse by day.Wink

Shocked 2 3s lipo in series !!!!!! That will be 22.2 volts !!!!!!!!
In series your capacity still 1000mah and 25c. Only voltage increase.
If you wan to increase discharge current and capacity, you have to connect in PARALLEL.

The number of Cs indicate on the lipo is the abiltity of the bat. to produce that maximum rated amount of current.
If you are using a 27 turn motor , the consumption of the motor for example is only maybe 10C. So the motor draw from the bat only 10C.
C is the current and also the capacity of the battery.
So if your lipo is 5000mah= 5amp 20C, then the lipo is able to produce maximum 20 multiply by 5 equals to 100amps of power.
In order to increase the discharge current, you will have to connect both lipo togather in parallel.

I run my QRF on road as motard. I could not film my QRF in action cause i am playing alone.
My track is not that big, that's why my power consumption is low.
Power consumption depends greatly on track condition. Off-road track and track with long straight consume a lot of juice.
The way you throttle also affect the power consumption. Gradually increase throttle save a lot of juice. Sleepy

DO NOT CONNECT 2 3S LIPO IN SERIES!!!! The voltage will increase to 22.2 volts!!!!

LiFe bats need charger with LiFe bat mode to charge.
I have try using lipo mode to charge LiFe bats , still chargeable output volts increases.
But NOT recommended, may damage bat.
