The latest module from Assan (for Hitec) has a range-check-button. Hopefully, they will release updated DIY modules, too?

A signature is waste of space and memory. So I refuse to have one!

The new RF module for Hitec/Futaba, beside having the range check feature, which is nice, also has a new diode in the + line, which prevents the loss of trim memory in Hitec Optic 6 and Eclipse 7 transmitters. Assan is listening.
The new module is expected to be available in the next four weeks. I have an Optic just waiting for the new RF module. Jim / USA Edited by WildeOne - 26/Dec/2010 at 6:39am |

Does anyone know when the Assan module will be released for JR's with range check button?

Assan will be shipping a new X8H RF module for Hitec (and probably Futaba as well) which will have a range check feature, among other things. It's expected to be at HK and other sellers within a few weeks. It will have an internal blocking diode in the + line, to protect trim memory in the XMTR.
