I think 2S will be a better choice for the power needed to hover. You can always match prop and Kv, but the increase in current will create further voltage drop in the tiny wires and connectors involved in this category.
I have used 1S with Assan Rx (works down to 2.6V) and some of the tiny 3.5g digital servos with good results. Corona can go even lower than Assan.

Im trying to figure out if i can use 1s on a 40-50gram 3d plane
 
basically i just want a small hovering machine
 
was think about the adc5 motor with the 3amp 1s tgy esc running those 1s lipos
 
i have several issues will my corona 2.4 rx work with the low voltage?   can i use regular servos or does it have to be the 1s servos
