The transmitter and camera are "tiny" compared to the rather heavy / solid Tx antenna.
So I looked at a more tiny design like the whip antenna to get a lighter airbourne set.

Loosing 1 dBi will not make the whip change worthwhile I think. However I'll be on the lookout for a whip antenna, bearing Gain specs in mind.

In Scandinavia and Norhern Europe we all have PAL, I believe. Otherwise - no color at all.

The grey / color balance can be corrected in an .avi capture editor. I have only tested indoor so far. Outside captures will most likely be better.

Thanks for link:)

Hmm. Should be a standard SMA connector. The Antennae will give better range and cleaner picture but will not affect the picture color. You should make sure your TV is a PAL TV. If it is an NTSC you will get grey and poor picture as your TX is PAL only. If you have an old VCR some have Pal Ntsc switches and you could run your VRX through this first.
why would you replace the duck for the whip? Duck is typically better with +3dBi Gain. The whip will be +2dBi.
here is a 3dbi duck.

Thanks for answer Beladog.

On my set there is to much grey and too little color. The dips is probably not the way to fix this.

I opened up the VTx, and there is a lot of soildering metal on the edges of board, probably to lead the heat away from the board.

If I replace the VTx duck antenna with a whip antenna from other supplier, will I get the small  size 6mm threaded or the bigger that is on VRx. Other suppliers only seems to have one size for each frequency:)

The switches you refer to are the channels on the RX. They Should start at 910 and go up from there. On most cheaper RX that I have these are the only way to switch channels. The lit digital indicators do nothing. I could be wrong, but have found this to be the case when I ordered a similar RX from another site. The pots on the TX should not be moved as it is tuned for a specific frequency. If you move those switches you will need to re-tune.

Hello boys and girls!

I have 900MHz 200mW PAL and there are 4 dip switches from 1 to 4, all initially set to "low" position. I measured combined current draw to 2.5 Watts from camera and Tx.

Seems that the promised sixty minutes transmission from a 100 mAh 3S pack is way off.

The Receiver was initially set to ch.3, and all initial settings gave picture. None of the other 11 ch. gave picture. Maybe they will if i set the dips on Tx, but I want to know what they do, before I try this.

Anyone knows these dips?
