I just have to reply.
I do reverse slow circles and 8s.
funnels in all ways up right.
Stall turns, loops, rolls and skilled hovering in all orientations.
My tail is not perfect with hxt900 and 401b, but good enough!
I have a real futaba 9257 and real gy401 for flips and more fast 3dish moves, of course it is better,
But
MOST GUYS WILL BE JUST FINE WITH A WELL SET UP TAIL WITH THESE PARTS!
DAVID ,TIME TO SIM , THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OH RC HELI FLYING!!

To be fair though most people will never ever progress beyond the hover and basic forward flight, and if they do then they can upgrade.
All too often you see people that cant even hover in all aspects, trying to do stuff beyond their skills.
learn the basics first and for that you only need basic stuff ,however if you can aford a half decent tail servo it will tend to make things a little easier though.

Just another opinion
Never lost a hxt900

I MUST THINK that if one is not going 3d crazy these will do thr job fine again even on tail esp if chinese weight mod is done correctly!!

Are you serious...? Try doing some F3C maneuvers with a HTX900 in the tail and tell me how precise and "good" servo is for holding your tail...

HTX900 will only hold the tail for hover and basic forward flight nothing else... not even Fast Sports flight with some lopps and rolls let alone anything more than this...

There is not only 3D there are a lot of flight types and HTX900 is not good for any of them is only for basic orientation hovering...

hk900 cheap but works 110% for what most people need (only epeen's who talk smack or people with ties to hobbyshops will dispute this common fact)

i think its funny to see guys at my field with top quality expensive parts they "MUST HAVE" yet the cant fly good enuff to warrant them , they they crash an whinge over parts cost

unless your in the top 15% of 3d pilots in the world you wont notice a differnce

but again most people also like to subsitute good heli setup an pilot skills with more expensive parts to compenstae seen far to many i bought a trex an i still crashed comments over the years *chuckles*

if you can set up your heli right the cheapest hk parts stack up to overpriced rip off "name" brands the problem with that is most people blame there lack of skill on the parts

just my $2 funny enough the same price of the servo :P
