Hobbyking E-Fair Balsa Glider 1540mm (ARF) (UK Warehouse)

Relive a classic with this light weight blasa glider with excellent flight characteristics.

The Hobbyking E-Fair glider is a nicely finished and mostly pre-assembled 3CH balsa glider kit. Featuring a pre-built fuselage, wing and tail section, very little is left to complete this model and get it into the air. Pre-installed pushrod tubes make installing the servos and setting up the control surfaces a breeze. With its polyhedral wing design, this model offers very forgiving flight characteristics and will provide you with hours of sloap soaring fun!

The E-Fair glider comes in almost ready to fly form, which means you will need to add your own brushless motor/ESC, servos and radio system. Please see related items below.

are the wings one or two part

Hi William. The wing starts as a two part, but you glue them together including a flat piece of aluminium bar for strength (included) and this stiffen the wing nicely. Don't let this put you off. My wing fell off the roof of the car and had no damage. Just make sure you use a good 2 part epoxy, like ZAPS, and you'll be fine. I love my glider, great fun! As for your other question, the wing is retained at the loading edge by small dowel pins, and is screwed down at the back. It's adequate. The canopy is an area where this glider is let down. They say to use screws but do you really want to remove 4 screws every battery change? I used a small pin hinge on the front, and two small pieces of bamboo skewer at the rear sides going into 2 small holes in the canopy, and just pull the canopy over the skewers and it will never come off. Hope this helps? Daz

I started building the E-Fair the other night and i was amazed by the quality of the kit. It was simply a dream to put together. The fuselage is nice and light but well build and strong, the wings and tail seem to be all laser cut and put together straight and true. The supplied pushrods are a bit sticky but after looking at them i realised that they were rusty therefore not moving smoothly in the liner. I just got some fine wire wool and went over them and they are sweet as a nut now. The servo tray needed some sanding to get the servo's to go in nicely without causing too much stress on the glue joint. Instead of using the recommended 1800-2200mah 3s i am using a 800mah 2s with a park300 1380kv on a 10x4. It pulls very well and only draws 7.65amps at full throttle (static). I managed to get the weight down to 347grams with battery which makes the wing loading very low. I just need to get a few more flights to get it dialed in. On the maiden i flew for about 40mins without the motor running just on thermals alone. Verdict: This is a great little glider and takes no effort at all to build or fly but can be very good if you know how to find thermals. It is great for "after work flying" but also a nice looking model. Well done hobbyking!

Push rods too tight, replaced outers. Winglet damaged required patch. Nose well blocked, my next one will have a Diesel up front. Balances with a 2200 mA 3s pulled back to the leading edge or a 1300 3s pushed into the nose. Running a "Pinky" the old 850Kv with 8 x 4.5 folder 140W Would I buy another YES great value for money

I had one of these ages ago ! was a doddle to fly, running brushless with 1500mah seemed bout right. sold it on because it was just to easy to fly and could never get it to come down ! great plane ! great for getting into thermals and cruising , well recommended but some modifications made to hardware parts
