There is plenty of rad in the RadJet-800! With it's amazing price, EPO foam and being Plug and Fly, this brilliant model has no trouble earning the RadJet moniker.
The Radjet 800 has been tested and flown to within an inch of it's life and it performed flawlessly, not only in terms of light performance but also reliability and believe me, we tried hard to kill the test version! It's a simple build with the motor, ESC an servo's pre-installed, even the decals are pre-applied! It has several impressively simple and practical features such as the plastic skid on the length of the underside of the fuselage that will protect your Radjet from the usual tears and gouges, servo arm protectors on the wings, effective cooling for the ESC & Lipoly and so on.....and it's how much?
But, it doesn't stop there, oh no! What's it like to fly? Utterly brilliant! The light flying weight means that the outrunner motor gives tons of performance, the Radjet will pull massive loops and is capable of some pretty precise aerobatics, it's quick, no doubt about it but throttle back and it becomes a total pussycat, fly it like you stole it or glide around, either way it's a hoot! So to sum up, it looks great, it's easy to assemble, flies brilliantly, is reliable, fast and cheap....Radjet? You better believe it!
Why does hobby king dont sell spare parts for the radjet ?
I would like to see Spare Fuselage /canopy / wings .. because they brake EASY ... And i lost my canopy somewhere .. :-)
Hello I saw this video about prop comparsion they say that if i want to use a 6x5 prop it uses less watts then a stock prop. so can i use the 6x5 prop with the stock esc?
Hello, 6x5 prop with stock ESC will work fine but, power consumption will be a little higher and flying time a little bit shorter. Also you can cut 1 inch to your prop if you don't another one, be sure to balance it perfectly.
I run a 6x5 prop with stock ESC & 3 cells resulting in far superior performance. The thrust whilst holding onto it at full power is a lot more, more than the weight of the model so it goes straight up 'till it hits something, like the Moon!:-):-)
Anyone got a canopy (from a wrecked RadJet) they don't need, mine is up in the trees somewhere!:-(

Hello,
Is this a nice second plane?
I have flown my axn for very long now and i would like something new.
Should someone like me be able to control this plane?
I know what dual rates and expos are so i could use them to make the plane easier to fly.
So go for it or not?
Best regards,
Wessel
No mate, not a good second plane. It's a good choice for your first jet, but you should really get a warbird or something more aerobatic before getting one of these. Planes like the AXN almost fly themselves, left to their own devices they track straight and level. When this plane is left to it's own devices it ends up in lots of small pieces. Try flying something like a funjet in a simulator and see how you go.
I found two long loose machine screws in my Radjet. Anyone know where they go?

Take off the prop, Turn on your transmitter and put the throttle to full, plug your battery into the rc and you will hear a series of high pitch beeps. Throttle up is one selection middle position is another and trottle down is another. Do you have the manual?
Also, Nicholas isn't quite right. There's no middle position when setting features. You wait for the right set of beeps, then pull the throttle down to set a feature.
Check the manual, it's in chinglish, but there's a table of beeps that's pretty easy to understand.
Hi - I'm running one of these with a Turnigy 4X transmitter, and the throttle doesn't activate untill it gets to halfway.
Can someone tell me how to calibrate the ESC/throttle on one of these?
Take off the prop. Turn on your transmitter and set the throttle to full. Plug in the plane battery. The ESC should go into programming mode - you can tell by the different beep pattern.
As soon as the first four short beeps start, pull the throttle down to zero. The ESC will beep to confim the calibration.
That's it, you're done.
If I will buy this rc plane it will be my second plane, do you think I will be able to fly it? (Should I buy it?)
My 2nd question is that is it worth buying a ~55£* remote for this plane?
Can I get a cheaper remote/ transmitter somewhere else? (Assuming I will not buy more planes in the future)!
Thanks
I jumped from an AXN cloud which was my first plane to this plane it's good fun and it can fly well at slow speeds as long as you have set it up rite with CG. You should be able to fly it no problem take it slow until you get used to it and the open the throttle up :)
As for the remote (tx) I think you would struggle to find one cheaper because it needs to support elevon mixing I would use the turnigy 9x without module and buy a module separate because the 9x with module comes with a beast of a receiver and might struggle to fit it in this plane. Lots of mods out there for the 9x too
So, I saw a post earlier that this thing will do around 100km/h. Has anybody actually radared this plane with the stock set up and if so, how fast in MPH?
I AM SO EXCITED!
I am going to try fpv it stock first then see.
Do you think I am going to make it?
1.3ghz 150mw 22grm vtx stock antenna.
1 small cam from fox tech less then apx 10gram and a 300-500mah 3s lipo to power fpv an 1000 or 1300mah flight pack!
Post your video if succeed. You can easily add extra weight, even with stock setup and plane keep on stable. Not good FPV because its very fast. I have 2836motor, 2650mah 4s and 30g camera. See video starting 2min25sec.
Nice!
I wanted the thrill of the speed ! and i don't wont to risk my nabors saftey of flying a 2-3 kg lr plane.can do pretty much damege to a car or a human ! so a light aircraft and a lot of fun !
With this plane you will risk your neighbour, if your skills are not so trained. Of course with 2-3kg plane you can kill many neighbours with one shot, so this is not the biggest risk plane. For not so risky flight I recommend for example PRODUCT ID: AXN-clouds . That plane was quite fast but also nice slow flyer. You can cut wingtips and It will make rolls, thrills and very nice tricks with stock setup.
Thomas you ask a question and then pay the person who gives the best answer. You are not asking questions you are making statements, therefore you don't make any credits. That's easy t understand isn't it? I might add that a number of people are being investigated for scamming. You seem to be fitting the description so far. Being found scamming gets you a very long holiday. Just in case you should be cosidering it.
It's a Funjet clone and has very good quality. With original setup it will claim about 100km/h and is for a intermediate skill and up. I would buy it anytime again.
No problem! But be sure that the CoG is set about 390-400mm from the nose, the CoG in the manual is false!

1 thumbs up!
incredible plane, i read review about this aircraft being slow and under-powered, this is not the case. it is a very agile and slick aircraft. very sensitive on the roll and slightly lacking on pitch, but nothing that is unacceptable by any means. highly recomend this aircrat, just not to beginners.
P.S make sure you do the prop up really tightly, lost mine on the first flight. my mistake.

Yeah, quite happy with the little plane. Flies smooth, not as fast as I would have liked but not bad for a stock setup running 3s 1300mah.

I bought one and thought it was a bit slow out of the box. Then I put a 6x4 prop and larger amp ESC and a 4S. I was flying faster than the EDFs at my prk.....WOW! Make sure to apply a small amount of loctite to the screws in motor and watch how this plane kills the competition.

Exclusive to Hobbyking and tested hard by the team, we can't sing the praises of this brilliant park jet enough, tough and simple, fast and aerobatic yet totally forgiving at low speeds, so much so we were flying tight, low speed figure eights at full elevator deflection and still couldn't stall it! Even our camera man Herman had a blast flying it!!
