Is this servo suitable for the genesis boat coz i cant get a 15138 from the au warehouse when i can get everything else so #*$& frustrating please help
hi, i was wondering what voltage/amp or battery in need to run 4 of these servos off a Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2 (Mode 1)ps need a lot of power from the servos
if its connected to a rx the voltage is always the same, the battery input just depends on how long you want it to run, id suggest a 7.2v battery around 5000mAh you can go higher if you want,
These little servos are great and for the price who cares if you break one or two. They are rated 4.8v~6v. So I think they are great for 4 or Hobby Kings new 1.6 rechargeable. Why would you need 4 x 9 KG servos? So the size of battery really depends on what you are doing. What PLANE, Crawler or Car they go in.
Allison yes that is true it has metal gears. It seem not possible that you could buy a metal gear servo for only $6.06. This is why it is on back order. The listing does say Features: Metal Gears Dual Ball-race. I hope this helps.
yes, but you should go digital for a Heli. You want precise movement. Analogue (especially cheap ones) are not accurate or fast enough, even for cyclic. Tail - don't even think about it.
Try the HK15298 High Voltage Coreless Digital Servo. It will operate on normal voltage (5V) & up to 7.4V if you wish. Much faster than the HK15288A and worth the extra price. You could use it all round as well if on a budget, but best to find a high-end servo for the tail (sub .10sec), but no high end servos stocked in AUS warehouse though.
Ha Brett thanks for the quick reply, that sounds like what I'm looking for,ill give that a crack an I will use my 520Align Tail servo off the 450,to keep the costs down cheers
These are great servos, but there is a small risk they can short inside. To ensure they dont just drop the bottom off of the case and add a small foam insert between the control pot and the circuit board . Easy fix :)

brought 2 of these servos. I am very impressed with them for the price. They center well and have plenty of power. I would buy more.
